Google Experience Ranking Signal Criteria for Changes
Google Experience Ranking Signal Criteria for Changes The Google Search Console page experience report receives an upgrade that facilitates navigation. Google removes safe navigation from the requirements that sites have to satisfy to take use of the page experience factor. As a consequence of the change, Google updates the page experience report of Search Console with a streamlined design which removes superfluous data.Specifically, the report removes the safe browsing and ad experience widgets. Google in a blog post offers the justification for this choice.
Furthermore, numerous corrections are performed to enhance the handling of missing data .Here are all the changes that are happening today. Removal of the Safe Widget Google deletes the safe browsing widget from the page experience report because it is not a ranking indicator anymore. The study was developed to help SEOs understand how websites face signals that rank the page experience.
The report does not need to include safe browsing statistics as it is not utilised in rankings.” Google’s safe browsing technologies are meant to keep users secure on the internet. Sometimes sites fall subject to hijacking by third parties, which can cause warnings from Safe Browsing to appear. We realise that these questions are not often controlled by site owners, therefore we explain that Safe Browsing is not utilised for the purpose of ranking and will not feature in the Page Experience report.”
Google Search Console will continue to report on secure flags of navigation outside the page experience report.
Remove the widget for ad experience
Google removes the ad experience widget from the Search Console to prevent duplicate reports from displaying the same information. A standalone version of the ad experience report will remain available in the Search Console, where ad experiences that contravene the Better Ads Standard are identified. Similar to safe browsing, the report on ad experience is not a consideration for the page ranking.
Further improvements
Google updates the page experience report with many bug fixes and enhancements, including:
• Added a “No Recent Data” banner in the Report and Page Experience of Core Web Vitals.
• Fixed a problem that caused the “Failing HTTPS” report to indicate the absence of the Core Web Vitals data.
• The empty status wording has been rephrased in the Page Experience and Core Web Vitals reports.
As a reminder, on June 15, 2021, the change of the Google-page experience algorithm begun and will be finished by August 31, 2021.
